I am behind the words in this blog
Book reviews & Place reflections
THIS IS ME

This blog is built from a curiosity about how life is shaped through what we read, where we go, and what we experience.

It exists as a space where books, places, and everyday moments become material for reflection and awareness. Each experience is explored for what it reveals about perception, growth, and the way understanding evolves over time.

The writing here follows a simple intention: to observe life closely, to reflect honestly, and to translate experience into insight that can be felt and understood.

Acting

I work as a coach and health-focused guide, supporting people through learnings, habits, and how they engage with their own lives in practice. I also work as a class assistant, supporting learning environments through structure, presence, and direct interaction.

I live in Switzerland, originally from Sweden, and I share my life with my Swedish husband Jim and our two teenage daughters, Elise and Nova.

Alongside my work, I am strongly connected to physical and creative expression. I love photography and creating photobooks, dancing, and designing gatherings with themes, activities, and shared experiences.

I strength train regularly and I am naturally drawn to trying new things in life. I am a bucket list kind of person — curious by nature and motivated by direct experience. I learn through action, repetition, exposure, and lived situations. These parts of my life are fully integrated with
how I work and how I understand
human behaviour and change.

Travel becomes a method.
Experience becomes practice.
Reflection becomes integration.

“I decided that adventures are the best way to learn” — Lloyd Alexander.

Leaving home reveals what cannot be imagined in stillness. It expands perception, challenges assumptions, and brings clarity through direct experience. This is where real learning
takes shape — in movement, in presence, in engagement with the unknown.

Be the journey.

“Those who never travel only gets to see one page of life” – Lloyd Boyd

This is what life has to offer you to see what you learn, Life teaches you and that gives you new perspectives. You grow every day and become someone with more wisdom each day.

This principle sits at the core of how I approach life and work. Growth happens through action, exploration, and the willingness to step into new perspectives. Travel becomes a method. Experience becomes practice. Reflection becomes integration.

This is the place to become you

Me and books

Books are active tools in my way of working with reflection and experience.

When I read, I work with ideas in real time. I take what I encounter in books into thought, movement, and lived experience. A book becomes meaningful through engagement, through application, and through how it connects to everyday life.

My reflections grow from this process. They emerge through interaction between what I read and what I experience in the world. They take shape through observation, response, and practice.

This approach to books is built on use, curiosity, and action. Each book becomes part of an ongoing process of thinking, exploring, and living.

ME AND PLACES

Travel is a direct way of engaging with
life and environment.

Each place creates a shift in attention, where surroundings, people, and culture become part of how experience is formed. I use travel as a way to learn how I respond to the contexts, how perception changes, and how new situations shape awareness.

Every journey adds another layer to understanding — through action, presence, and interaction
with the world as it is.

This way of traveling is grounded in attention, responsiveness, and lived encounters. Each journey becomes part of a flow of noticing, and integrating how settings effects perception and understanding.

“Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow.”
— Anita Desai —
